Nail Swatch Compilation II

Hello dear readers!

Today I have another compilation of nail polish swatches. (click here for the previous one)
I've been doing nail art the previous times, and I think this time nail polish colors deserve a post of their own.

Below, I will post a few pics of each nail color you see here and a brief description.

(All pics can be enlarged for detail)

I will start with Cutie Pop by ILNP
This is a bubblegum pink with linear holographic effect. I think it also has a creamy finish to it. I applied this polish with no issues. I only needed 2 coats for opacity

Next, I have Baker by Cult Nails
I think I already have my favorites when it comes to nude colors, but here's another I'm adding to the list.
Baker is a tan beige color with a hint of gold shimmer. Applies evenly but you probably need 3 coats for full opacity. In this case, I just used 2 to show some nail free edge and make it look more natural.

Here you can see the gold shimmer

As if the gold shimmer wasn't enough, I added more bling with a gold leaf topcoat.
I think gold leaf and a nude tone nail polish is a killer combination. If you want your nails to look subtle and yet with a bit of an artsy flair to it, this is the way to go.

Last but not least, is Calla Lily by Revlon
This is a sheer white jelly nail polish with gold shimmer. When I got this nail polish, I was a bit skeptic about it. I thought I would have a hard time with streaks or bald spots or pooling. If  you apply in thin layers, this is what you would get. Here, I used 3. I think this one is perfect as a base for any nail art.

Do you own any of these nail colors?

Nail Art/Swatches Compilation

Hello dear readers!

It's good to be back to blogging once again.
This time, instead of posting long overdue swatches and nail art one after another, I decided to post all here.

Scroll down to see more pictures and a brief description of each.

First, I start with swatches of Lacquer Lust - Amor which is a thermal with that turns pastel pink when cold and white when warm. It also has a mix of iridescent hexagonal glitter and metallic pink glitter. Very opaque and easy to apply.

Here you can see the thermal effect at its best.

Next is OPI - Love angel music baby from the Gwen Stefani collection. It is a gold that dries to a satin finish, but in this case, I added topcoat for shine.

I used this nail color as the base for water marbling. You can see a short video on my Instagram, here.

Here, I did some lace design stamping. I used OPI - French quarter for your thoughts as the base and stamped with Khroma Beauty - Dahlia. For the accent nail, I stamped with the OPI color over the Dahlia base. I used a lace design from my BuNa A plate.

Here, I'm wearing OPI - Magazine cover mouse, a red textured nail polish with gold and pink shimmer.

This is a swatch of Nailnation 3000 - Cashmere topped with 24k gold flake topcoat The Midas Touch by Ninja Polish. I think it was a very nice combination.

This is it! I hope you liked this post.

Diamond - Lacquer Lust

Hello dear readers!

Today I want to show you swatches of Diamond by Lacquer Lust. This nail polish is part of the Holo Birthstone collection.

Diamond is a light grey color with a holographic finish. Very neat color, a cream yet holographic.
I've never seen this type of nail polishes on mainstream brands. I have to say indie brands such as Lacquer Lust really put an effort in releasing original nail polishes.

Application-wise, I am very pleased once again with this brand. This nail polish is very opaque. 1 coat was enough and no dragging or streaks whatsoever. Also, this one works for stamping which is another plus for me. I'll try to do a manicure using this color for stamping.

Next time, I will start showing Valentine's day themed manicures.

Polished by KPT - Blood as Thick as Gold

Hello dear readers!

I want to show you some pictures with this beautiful nail polish called: Blood as Thick as Gold.
I've seen some swatches on Instagram and I was in awe... the combination of oxblood red and mica gold flakes is just gorgeous. Also, I am a big fan of thermal nail polishes. I think the effect is very fun to have on nails.

As you can see, here is the nail polish showing the temperature change. The free edge is usually colder than the nail bed, so, with the right temperature conditions, you can have an effort-less gradient effect.

Here you can see the cold effect. I love how the gold mica flakies shine through the red color.

Here is the warm effect... but I took a pic halfway through it. My temperature was so cold, that I couldn't take a proper picture of it. I must say I would really like a nail polish color like this, a peachy nude tone with gold flakies.

Here is a closeup pic. Overall, application of this nail polish was fairly easy. I think the consistency was a bit thick (probably due to the flakes), but a few drops of nail polish thinner always do the trick.

What do you think about the colors of this nail polish?

Beauty Berry - Thermal Nail Polish by Cameo Colours Lacquers

Hello dear readers!

I want to show you some swatches from Beauty Berry a thermal nail polish by Cameo Colours Lacquers. It is part of its thermolinear collection which means it changes colors with temperature and also has a linear holographic effect. (Click here to see swatches of another thermolinear color I posted previously).

Here you can see the beauty of this nail polish at regular temperature.

When cold, the nail polish turns completely purple.

Then, it turns pink with warm temperature.

Overall, this nail polish applies nicely and is pigmented. I'm very happy with the quality this brand offers. Holographic and thermal are two types of nail polish that I love and this is such a perfect combination.
For info on where to buy this nail polish you can go to Cameo Colours FB

*This nail polish was purchased by me. The opinion expressed of this product is solely my own.

Do you like this thermal color combo?

Cameo Colours Lacquers - Poison Apple - Thermal Nail Polish

Hello dear readers!

I decided to post for the 2nd time this week because I couldn't wait to show you swatches of this awesome nail polish. This from an indie nail polish brand called Cameo Colours Lacquers. Poison Apple is part of their Thermolinear collection. This thermal beauty changes from brown when cool to a salmon color when warm. This is not only a mood or thermal nail polish, it is also a linear holographic nail polish.

Here you can see the beautiful thermal effect. This effect is due to the temperature difference between the nail bed and the free edge. *You don't need crazy long nails in order to get the gradient effect, just a few millimeters of nail length will be good enough ;)

Now, when your body temperature is warm enough, your nails will be entirely salmon color.

When cold, your nails will be dressed in a brown shade... can you see the linear holographic effect?
Application wise, I needed apply 2 coats to reach this opacity. This nail polish  applies like a dream, no streaks or bald spots. I am in love with both, thermal and holographic effects, so this nail polish was worth every penny.

For info on where to buy this nail polish you can go to Cameo Colours FB
https://www.facebook.com/CameoColoursLacquer

*This nail polish was purchased by me. The opinion expressed of this product is solely my own.

What do you think of this nail polish?
What other color combinations would you like to see in a thermal nail polish?
I personally would like to see a black/red color :)

Lacquer Lust - A Stroke of Good Luck - Thermal Nail Polish - Swatches & Review

Hello Dear Readers!

Today I want to show you this awesome nail polish. It's called "A Stroke of Good Luck" by Lacquer Lust. The first time I saw swatches of this indie brand line of thermal polishes, I knew I had to have them. Lacquer Lust has created the most beautiful thermal nail polishes I've seen so far...

Thermal, transition or mood nail polishes change color to the temperature of the body. In this case, A Stroke of Good Luck is gold color when warm and turns green when cold. It also has a scattered holographic finish, which adds more to the beauty of this nail polish.
Here in the picture you can see the transition from gold (at the nail bed) to green (on the free edge).

Here is the nail polish when warm...

And green when cold...

Formula-wise, this nail polish was very easy to apply, no streaks whatsoever. And it's pigmented enough to wear with one coat, but in this case, I applied 2 coats which makes the transition effect more visible.

Lacquer Lust nail polishes are available here. In case they are unavailable, Jo restocks regularly.
You can find out about her next restock date or nail polish releases by liking her Facebook here

What do you think of this nail polish? Have you tried a thermal nail polish?
