Color Club - Worth the Risque

Hi! Today I will show you some swatches of Color Club Worth the Risque. I got this nail polish from a blog sale. I'm into nail polish blog sales lately, hunting for pretty and affordable nail polishes. I will post about my purchases later because I have found some gorgeous holos, just like this one. I started classes last Thursday and I painted my nails with this holographic nail polish because I could not find a flashier one ;)

(pictures can be enlarged)

I think this kind of finish accentuates my long nails...

It is a linear holo but I think the silver color overpowers the holographic effect a little bit. The pigmentation is great. I needed a second coat to cover some bald spots, mainly because the brush was hard to work with, especially on long nails.

Here is a close up shot so you can see the rainbow of colors...

An extra pic, just because :)

I hope you liked this swatches. I will do some nail art on top of this color.

What is your favorite holographic nail polish that you currently own?
---Have a great weekend!---

Lacy Nails + Nail Stamp Trick

Hello girls! Thank you so much for reading my posts, commenting and following. I have 500+ followers! I know most of you have come to know this blog because of my giveaway and that is ok because that's the way I got to know many of my favorite bloggers. I hope that you can get to like my posts :)

Today, I will show you the nail stamping design I did using lace stamps from the QA plate series (QA 13, QA6 and QA 8). My favorite nail art design is lace and that's why I chose to do this mani.... There is some smudging because I brushed on the topcoat a little too much...

A nail stamp trick to avoid cleaning your stamper with acetone after each stamp:
Use a strip of clear packing tape and place the stamper over the sticky side so that the remaining nail polish sticks to the tape. In this case I pull the tape and stick it backwards on the same roll.

Can you see how long my nails have gotten?
By the way, I used Revlon "Gray suede" nail polish for the base and Kleancolor "Black" for the stamp.

Did you already use tape to clean your stamper? What other tricks do you recommend?

I always read your comments and answer questions. Don't be shy and feel free to comment ;)

Nabi Crackle Swatches

Hello dear readers! And welcome new readers!

First of all, if you are a previous reader of my blog, you may have noticed that my blog has a new image. I want to say thanks to Nailed it. for designing the banner of my blog. I never imagined it would be this cool!

Some of you may  remember a previous post about my Super Nail Polish Haul in which I got 12 Nabi crackle polishes. I absolutely love these crackles! That is the reason I swatched each color. More pictures below...

(Pictures can be enlarged)
I knew these nail color wheels would come in handy!

1. Nabi Crack "Rose" over Maybelline "Pink Sombrero"
2. Nabi Crack "Mocha" over China Glaze "Sunset Sail"
3. Nabi Crack "White" over Kleancolor "Black"

4. Nabi Crack "Pastel Blue" over Ulta "Smoke Screen"
5. Nabi Crack "New Lilac" over Essie "Nice is Nice"
6. Nabi Crack "Sky Blue" over Rimmel "Pink Punk"

7. Nabi Crack "Sand" over Kleancolor "Dark Brown"
8. Nabi Crack "Bright Purple" over Essie "French Affair"
9. Nabi Crack "Angel Lavender" over Prestige "White"

10. Nabi Crack "Black" over Kleancolor "Metallic Green"
11. Nabi Crack "Silver" over Kleancolor "Black"
12. Nabi Crack "Yellow" over Nabi "Neon Blue"

13. Nabi Crack "Yellow" over Prestige "White"

I decided to dedicate a post to these crackles because this really crack, I have used the Cherimoya crackle and those cracked but not as good as the Nabi ones. Overall, I'm satisfied with all these colors except silver because it did not cracked as good, and yellow because it is sheer over dark colors as you can see in nail 12 but it looks fine in nail 13 over a white base.

What do you think of my swatches?

Konad Q1 Charming Nail Stamp Plate

After a long time wanting the Konad's Q1 Charming Nails stamp plate, I finally decided to order this plate on Christmas Eve as a gift for myself ; )

For those who may not know about it, a group of nail stamp lovers decided to get together and design their own stamp plate, it all started back in 2010 and they dedicated a blog for this project, Nail Artist United. It took some time for their dream of having a nail stamp plate created by fans to become a reality and finally, in 2011, Konad UK produced the Q1 Charming Nails plate. You can read all about it here. The plate, Charming Nails, was named after the creator of the designs featured in this plate, you can visit her blog here.

This plate is limited edition and I did not want to wait any longer to own this beautiful stamp plate, who knows for how long it will be available...

I ordered this plate on Dec. 24 and arrived in January 9, I bought it at Cesarsshop for one plate it was 11  EUR (Now it is 8 EUR1!) including shipping which is roughly 14 USD. The shipping was very affordable, 1 EUR mailed as letter. Overall, I'm very satisfied with their service and the speed of shipping.
Here is how it arrived, all the way from Finland. The envelope had bubble wrap inside and was very well packaged .

I cannot wait to play with this stamping plate :) Thank you for reading!

Nail Art Mail!

This is all the nail art mail that I got this week, I ordered these things around the same time and they arrived a few days apart.

I love receiving little packages...contents below:

I ordered a bunch of nail stickers and a package that has 10 baggies of tip guide tapes for only a couple of bucks.

Nail deco! in each of the little kraft envelopes were these baggies of nail art decoration. As you can see, there are: pink and white roses, bows, polka dot bows, metal masks, and metal crowns.
(Pictures can be enlarged)

And last, I got a set of 600 European short false nails and nail swatch wheels. I have natural nails, but in my free time I like to decorate false nails sets.

*As an extra note, I would like to point out that I got these nail art stuff on eBay at very affordable prices,  for example, I bought the nail deco for 1 dollar each baggie and the nail stickers cost me 6-10 cents each ;)
Naktsmeita asked me where I got it, I will add this info here in case other girls ask.
-Nail stickers: You can find these on ebay, just look for Nail art stickers, then sort by price, lowest first and click the auctions only tab. You will find hundreds of nail stickers on auction for only cents each sheet.
-Nail tip guides: here

Super Nail Polish Haul

Hi! Today I will post about the nail polish haul that I got yesterday at the flea market. I called it a super nail polish haul because it is the first time I bought this many nail polishes at once. Since I got them at a very good price, I don't feel bad about it :)

The nail polish brands I bought from were Kleancolor, Nabi and Prestige...

First, take a look at this picture (from my crappy cellphone camera) I took of one of the stands I bought some nail polish from. Ever since I started my nail polish addiction, I love going to flea markets in search of pretty and affordable nail polish. Every time I find stands like these, I look like a child in a candy store ; ) So many colors and glitters...

I got 12 crackle nail polishes from Nabi, these are just some of the colors, they carry 40+ colors of crackle. I must say I'm impressed by the range of colors and the quality of these crackles. I try will to post swatches later. (Names from left to right: Sky blue, sand, new lilac, pastel blue, angel lavender, rose, mocha, white, black, yellow, silver, bright purple)

I also bought a bunch of Kleancolor glitter nail polishes. (Names from left to right: Gold caviar, go bunny!, black out, starry night, grand finale, firework)

More glitter kleancolors... (Names from left to right: Red hot, golden nirvana, green with envy, starry blue, chunky copper, tiara gold)

I finally found Chunky holo black from kleancolor. Why so many bottles? Well, because I will include these as prizes for my upcoming giveaway! My camera did not do justice to chunky holo -_-' I assure you these look gorgeous in person ;)

Last but not least, some cream polishes from Prestige and Kleancolor. This are very opaque and some of these can double as stamping nail polishes.
(Names from left to right: 8, 12, mauve, bumble bee, neon white, black)

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Happy New Year! Year of the Dragon Nails

Hello dear readers! My best wishes to all of you this new year :)

As some of you may know, 2012 is the year of the dragon according to the Chinese calendar. Instead of doing the usual new year nail art, I decided to do one inspired by the year of the dragon. I googled for many dragon images to get some inspiration and this is what I came up with. Ah! and no nail stamping this time. All I used was nail polish and glitter.

Here is a more detailed picture of the dragon:

I used small glitter for the year 2012, I had to apply the glitter pieces one by one.

The Chinese new year is celebrated in January 23rd. If you would like to try this nail art you still have time.
I hope you like this nail art.

Happy New Year to all!!
