Today's nail art

Hello readers! Today, I will be wearing this nail art to schol. I did it by painting my nails witth kleancolor "Pastel Pink". Then I stamped with a design from H 20 fauxnad plate. It is not that visible on the pics, but I put some holographic glitter nail polish from Forever 21 and then top coat for shine.

NYX Paradise Nude & Kleancolor Chunky Holo Poppy

Hello everybody! It is been 2 weeks since my last post. Hehe '^ ^ I will try to be more constant with my blog posts.

Here I have a couple of swatches, the first one is from NYX Girls in Paradise Nude:
It is a hot pink creme, I love the formula, it is not runny or streaky and applies well with only one coat.

Then, I applied 2 coats of Kleancolor's Chunky Holo Poppy
What can I say about the chunky holo? Well, it is not a holo, yet I love the finish it gives on top of any nail polish. It is a glitter with a duochrome shine.. On this picture it is not that visible but look at this picture I took without flash:

Can you see the duochrome glitter? I love the effect.

Take care lovely readers and followers, have a nice weekend!

Ethnic Print nails - clothing inspired

Last Monday was my first day of class and my 3rd semester in university. I was nervous about taking new classes and meeting new classmates. I'm a shy girl, so, the start of a semester is stressing time for me.
I had little time to make a detailed nail art design, so, I opted for a simple, full nail stamp. When I'm out of creative juices, I look at my closet for inspiration. This time a tank top from H&M, which has an ethnic print, was my source of inspiration.

For the base color I used Sally Hansen Complete Manicure nail polish in "Pink slip" it is supposed to be a sheer pale pink, but it looks more like a light beige to me. I applied two coats because it is very sheer and streaky formula. Then, using Kleancolor in black I used a nail stamp design from Magnonails XL - A plate which has a zigzag pattern.

Here is the result:

What do you think of the result?

OPI DS Coronation

Hello! Two weeks ago, I bought the a bottle of OPI DS Coronation. I finally got to try a holographic nail polish! Well, I think the holo effect is not as stunning as China Glaze OMG or Nfu oh holos but there are no many holographic nail polishes out there in stores and could not waste the opportunity to wear a holo ^ ^

The application was easy, not streaky at all, but it was very sheer, I had to put 3 coats for it to be opaque. I'm a bit disappointed that it chipped in 2 days. I always put a base coat and most of my manicures last me almost two weeks without chipping, so this was a bit of bummer. Nevertheless, I will still wear this color because the effect is gorgeous. Next time I will put some nail stamp and see how it looks.

Trip to San José and some nail art

First of all, thank you for following my blog. I really appreciate that there are girls out there who are reading my posts. My mom thinks I'm a bit crazy about nail art, so, to have someone who understands and appreciates my hobby makes me very happy.

Last Saturday, I went to visit my friend who has recently moved to San José, CA. Her new place is gorgeously decorated. I have been decorating false nails as a present for her. This visit was an opportunity to give them in person and explain how I did it.

She said they were so pretty that she wants to put them on display ^ ^ I'm glad that she liked them. She advised me that I should sell nails like these online. I was thinking about it for some time, but I'm not sure yet...

She lives nearby a mall, so we went there for some window shopping. The mall was huge compared to the ones in the Central Valley. There were stores like Forever 21, H&M, Charlotte Russe, etc... I mean, the place was so big and I was impressed that they have so much cool stores all in one place. Unfortunately, I was too tired to see the entire mall. I went to this store called Tokyo Lifestyle and there were lots of kawaii things from japan, but I think they were overpriced and carry similar products, or the same as Daiso Japan. Despite the high priced items, I'm a sucker for kawaii stuff, I could not resist the temptation and bought some stickers and a cellphone strap.
I bought the stickers because they are so cute and small enough that I want to use them for some 3D nail art ^ ^

What do you think of the false nails I decorated for my friend? Do you think the stickers would work for nail art?

Thank you very much for reading!
